After graduating from Loreto Convent School in Darjeeling, Reena Chettri acquired a first class Masters degree in Fine Arts from Maharaja Sayaji Rao University, Baroda. Amongst the many Exhibitions she has participated in, the most recent were at the Priyasri Art Gallery, Mumbai in 2005, Group show at Chennai in 2005, Wood Carving exhibition at Baroda, Gujarat and a workshop with Professor Harvey Wood in Gujarat. She has also participated at The Waste Art and Mixed Media Show on World Environment Day 2007 and the Darjeeling ARTFARE 2008 organized by PRO.Darjeeling. Her work was very well-received.
Her forte lies in sculpting, painting and etching.
She has been nominated for the Shanku Chowdhury Scholarship for six consecutive years from 2001 through 2005. She is also enlisted with the Himalayan Art Academy in Darjeeling.
Reena lives with her husband Vivek Chettri in Chandmari, Darjeeling.
